CMW Mining Weights and Settlement Mechanism

A 12-hour settlement cycle, doubled NFT multipliers, and consensus node boosts—the complete weight model behind CMW mining.

CMW is the value-capture hub of the m&W ecosystem. Total supply is 1 billion, of which 70% (600 million) is allocated to the community ecosystem—unlocked and released continuously through mining. This article explains the weight model and settlement mechanism of mining.

Release Schedule

In the first year, 1/2 to 2/3 of the release (about 18 million CMW) goes to community mining. Users share each epoch’s ecosystem mining pool in proportion to their mining weight.

Weight Composition

An individual user’s mining weight consists of three components:

  1. Base contribution score: earned through actions such as publishing content, engagement, and consensus contributions
  2. NFT tier multiplier: between 1.0 and 2.0 depending on the NFT tier held
  3. Consensus node boost: passive mining rights unlocked upon becoming a super node

NFT Tier Multipliers

NFT TierMultiplier
Standard Mint (#2001+)1.0×
Early Builder (#361–2000)2.0×
Consensus Proto-Nucleus (#21–360)2.0× + node rights
Genesis Node (20 pieces)2.0× + OG governance

The Early Builder’s “doubled multiplier” is a hard incentive written into the contract—the mathematical expression of early-participation dividends.

Settlement Cycle

Settlement runs every 12 hours:

// Pseudocode: per-epoch settlement logic
function settleEpoch(pool: bigint, weights: Map<Address, bigint>) {
const total = sum(weights.values());
for (const [addr, w] of weights) {
const share = (pool * w) / total; // distribute proportionally
transfer(addr, share);
}
}
  • Weights are based on a snapshot of on-chain activity over the past 12 hours
  • The mining pool is injected according to the current release schedule
  • Weights reset to zero after settlement, and the next epoch begins

Passive Mining

Holding an Early Builder NFT or above qualifies you to become a super node, with passive mining rights:

  • No ongoing activity required—weight accrues purely by holding
  • Consensus Proto-Nucleus and Genesis Node enjoy higher boosts
  • This is a long-term reward commitment to the early Builders of this civilization

From Mining to Order

Mining is not the goal; it is the algorithmization of value distribution. When contribution is precisely measured and value is automatically settled, collaboration no longer needs trust intermediaries—this is precisely the micro-level implementation of the EcoFi Protocol.

Credit assets as the standard: moving from traffic tax to the standardized capture of surplus value.
